We encourage anyone interested in working at the farm to spend some time on our website learning about what we produce, our practices and the farm environment. Below you can find out more about our current openings for the 2017 season.


Summer Farmers' Market Help

Part-time position working 1-3 markets a week, staring in May / June and continuing through October / November. Markets are primarily in Boston area, one is located in Rhode Island. Opportunities to work on weekends and weekdays. You will be working as part of a two person team with one of our experienced farmers. 

Qualifications: Experience with cooking seasonally, familiarity with local produce and knowledge about sustainable farming preferred, but not necessary. More important is having a positive attitude, good attention to detail, being customer service oriented and desire to work hard to help the farm accomplish its goals. You must be able to lift 50 lbs and help load / unload a truck. Markets are fast paced work environments and our products change weekly, so an ability to adapt and learn quickly is key.

2017 Internships

We offer a summer sustainable cooking & farming internship through Johnson & Wales University - College of Culinary Arts. Contact us for more info or if you'd like to set up another internship at the farm this season.

Working at Freedom Food Farm


Freedom Food Farm is an 88 acre, four season, diversified vegetable and livestock farm. We produce a wide-range of products year-round, including: over 100 varieties of vegetables, fruit, grains, medicinal herbs, honey, pasture-raised meat, heritage eggs, flowers, plant starts, hay and value-added products. Our goal is to add additional products over the next few years and eventually produce a full diet from our farm. We are committed to farming sustainably and never use any pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, or other chemicals at our farm.
